Hello Judy, Here is a picture of the dressed doll you made. I have not started the second dress yet. I have received several complements on the doll and her dress. I also made the hat. I JUST WANTED TO TAKE THIS TIME TO THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND PATIENCE WITH ME. I'VE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE, SO IT WAS ALL NEW TO ME. MY MOTHER WAS THE COLLECTOR.   My Beautiful Dolls!  Wow! They arrived safe and sound today and they are just gorgeous! I cannot even begin to imagine how you can paint these faces and have them turn out so life-like. The blonde looks just like someone I knew almost 30 years ago. The little red-head is just so pleasant looking, I know she will be one of my favorite dolls. I did not peek at the other doll as I want her to be a surprise. I think she will end up looking the most like my little June used to look.

Hi Judy!

We just had Kate’s birthday party yesterday because the Godparents were away last weekend. The revealing of the doll was the best part; it was decided to keep her for last, so everyone became more excited. It was a ‘hit’.

For a moment everybody was quiet waiting for Kate’s reaction – she held the doll, stared at her for a few seconds and said “look mommy, it’s me!”, and we all laughed. After explaining to Kate that the doll is not a toy but just for her to look at (which was not too hard because she had other new toys to play with), then everybody commentated how BEAUTIFUL the doll is, how I came up with this wonderful idea, how I found out about you, etc. This doll will not only be a precious collectible for Kate, but for her parents as well.

My husband and I had time to enjoy the doll in our home, and we are going to miss not being able to look at her every day.
